October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month: Join YWCA North Central Indiana in Taking a Stand

Every October, YWCA North Central Indiana observes Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) - a time to honor survivors, remember those we have lost, and take action to end the cycle of abuse.

Domestic violence affects people of every age, race, gender, and background. It is much more than physical harm - it includes emotional, psychological, financial, and verbal abuse. Our organization is committed to supporting survivors, educating the public, and advocating for change. But we cannot do this without your help.

Why It Matters

1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men in the United States experience severe intimate partner violence in their lifetimes. In Indiana, the rates are even higher. Domestic violence is a community issue, and it will take all of us to stop it.
