Together For A Safer Tomorrow: Kicking Off #WeekWithoutViolence
Making A Difference, Together
At YWCA North Central Indiana, we believe in a world where women, children, and families are free from violence—and we believe that world is possible when communities come together.
This week, we join YWCAs across the country in observing #WeekWithoutViolence, part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This annual campaign is more than a call to action—it's a reminder that ending violence isn’t just an individual effort; it’s a collective responsibility.
Why Community Support Matters
Violence—especially domestic violence—doesn’t exist in isolation. It impacts entire families, neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces. Survivors often face barriers to safety, justice, and healing that can feel overwhelming without community support.
That’s where you come in.
Whether you're raising awareness, volunteering your time, offering a safe space, or making a donation, your support sends a powerful message: you believe in a future without violence.
Our Work At YWCA North Central Indiana
Every day, we provide shelter, counseling, advocacy, and resources for women and children fleeing domestic violence. We walk alongside survivors as they rebuild their lives—and we work with our community to prevent violence before it begins.
But we can’t do it alone.
Growing Together In Support
This week, we invite you to stand with us by:
Sharing information about domestic violence and its impact
Listening to and supporting survivors in your life
Taking action to challenge harmful norms and promote healthy relationships
Donating to organizations, like YWCA, that are doing this critical work
Your support directly helps local families find safety, stability, and hope.
