Domestic Violence affects 1 out of every 4 women at some point in their life. Each year nearly 1,500 women and children find safe shelter and the help they need to rebuild their lives at YWCA North Central Indiana. YWCA North Central Indiana is the largest regional provider of domestic violence services with emergency shelter in both St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties. providing both residential and non-residential services to nearly 2,000 women and children each year including shelter, counseling and child therapy. For information about counseling services for women and children, both residential and non-residential, contact Director of Clinical Services Diane Schmeltz at 574-233-9491.
